Does God Answer Prayer?
Philippians 4:6-7
What a strange question to ask. The obvious answer, Yes God answers prayer.
Jeremiah 33:3 Hebrews 4:16
The next statement you may debate, but I firmly believe The Father has answered every prayer that has ever been prayed. Could it be a misunderstanding of what answered prayer is that has caused the confusion and disagreement.
An answered prayer doesn’t mean God give us what we demand.
Get Over It! The Lord isn’t a divine bellhop.
Friend, What do we learn from scripture about prayer?
- “Yes,” is often God’s answer to our prayer.
Psalm 37:4-5 Matthew 6:33 John 14:13-14 Romans 8:31-32
Praise The Lord, “Yes” is answered prayer. - Many times “wait” is answered prayer.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Isaiah 40:31 Psalm 37:23
Our Lord is never in a hurry. Christ is never late.
The Father is always on time. John 11:1-46
We do not like to wait. Tell me about it.
“Wait” is answered prayer. We all experience it. - Many times the answered prayer is “No!”
Matthew 7:21-23 Luke 16:19-31 John 9:31 Hebrews 12:16-17 II Corinthians 12:7-8
“No” is answered prayer. - Then God’s answered prayer is often “Something better.”
II Corinthians 12:7-10 God said NO 3 times.
Friend, “Something better,” is answered prayer.
God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness, the power of Christ may rest upon us.
Keep Praying,
Pastor David Hart
