Fruit Of The Spirit – Peace

Galatians 5:22-23The Fruit of the Spirt comes in 9 wonderful flavors.
The flavor, “PEACE,” is a real lifesaver.

Isaiah 26:3

Listen to:
The Prophet – Isaiah 57:20-21
The Pronouncement – Luke 2:10-14
The Preacher – Romans 10:13-15

“Peace,” being Fruit of the Spirit is a gift from God.
John 14:27

A lady was asked, “Have you made your peace with God?”
“Oh! No!” was her reply, “God made peace with me at Calvary.”

The song writer expressed it well!
“Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the Fold of God:
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed his precious blood.”

The Bible expresses it better. Colossians 1:20

Colossians 3:15

Peace with God (justification) is a Gift from God. Romans 5:1

You receive it, all at once, the moment you place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Consider our relationship to others. Listen please to Romans 12:18

Evangelist Delton Dees said: “You can’t climb a wall leaning toward you. You can’t kiss a woman leaning away from you. And you can’t help a man who doesn’t want your help!”

Please allow Pastor to list some benefits of the Fruit of the Spirit: Peace

  1. Peace means the absence of suspicion and resentment.
I’ve seen children who would suck their thumb, adults nursing a grudge is a major factor in Anger.
  2. Peace means refusing self-pity when things go wrong.
    Everyone experiences sorry and misfortune.
  3. Peace means not living in the past.
Wanda’s favorite verse: It came to pass
It is unhealthy to dwell on past mistakes.
  4. Peace means not worrying about the future.
  5. Peace means refusing to waste time and energy fighting things that you cannot change.
St Francis of Assia – The Serentiy Prayer
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.”
  6. Peace allows you to stay involved with the living world.
Peace resists the tendency to be a recluse in tough times.
  7. Peace brings joy in finding something bigger than yourself to believe in.
Self-centered people, egotistical people score lowest on any test measuring joy.
  8. Peace cultivates qualities such as humor, loyalty and compassion.

Question: What is the secret for victory? – “Peace” – Fruit of the Spirit.
Colossians 3:15 – “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts

Come to the Lord Jesus!
