The Fruit of the Spirit – Faith
Galatians 5:22-23
Every believer must memorize these two verses.
You will see, Faith is love’s confidence in the Lord.
The Acrostic: “Faith” – Forsaking all trust him.
The Fruit of the Spirit is singular, it comes in nine wonderful flavors.
The Fruit of the Spirit, is more than positive thinking or optimism.
D.L. Moody on Faith, “If God is in your plans, make big plans.”
This “Faith” is Fruit of the Holy Spirit in us!

Sometimes the Bible refers to Faith as:
The message of Christ/Salvation Romans 1:8
Trusting the Lord Jesus/Saviour Ephesians 2:8-10
The Bible, the Body of Truth/Scriptures Jude 3
In the context of Galatians 5:22-23 “Faith” is the Fruit of the Spirit produced by The Lord. It is not a work of the flesh, produced by man.
”Faith” is not just a biblical term to study. It is divine Holy Spirit empowerment for living.
”The just shall live by faith” is Mentioned four times!

The Fruit of the Spirit is evidence of the Holy Spirit in our lives Romans 8:9-16
Question: Have you ever said, “| wish I had more Faith?”
Should you try harder? The answer is NO! Just believe God’s Word.
The good news is that every believer may have Faith, for the Holy Spirit produces Faith in every believer.
By the Word of God – Romans 10:17
It is the Gift of God – Ephesians 2:8-9
It is the Fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23
It is the Work of God- Philippians 1:6
This Fruit bearing is an inside job. I Corinthians 6:19-20
As we surrender to the Holy Spirit Galatians 5:16
Other will see Jesus Christ in us. Galatians 5:22-23
Faith-Holy Spirit Empowerment
Oil was discovered on Oklahoma property belonging to an Indian. All his life he had been poverty stricken, eking out a living. But the discovery of oil had suddenly made him very wealthy. The first thing he bought was a very big Cadillac. He wanted the longest car in the county, so he added four spare tires on the trunk. He would dress up in his new clothes and everyday he would take his Cadillac into the little town nearby. He wanted everyone to see him. He was a friendly old soul. So when he was riding through town he would turn in all directions to wave at all the people. Directly in front of that big beautiful auto were two horses harnessed to it and pulling it. There was nothing wrong with the car’s engine. He had never learned to start it. Under the hood, horsepower was willing and raring to go, but the Indian was content to use the two horsepower hooked to the front of the car.
The devil succeeds when he can keep the believer chugging along on the two horsepower flesh level. At that rate, spiritual progress is never achieved

Listen friend – it is the Holy Spirit who takes believing men and women, giving them the Fruit of the Spirit that immediately and increasingly makes himself more evident in our lives.

They Still Had a Chance
A young man stopped to watch a Little League baseball game. He asked one of the youngsters what the score was. “We’re losing 18-0,” was the answer.
“Well,” said the man. “I must say you don’t look discouraged.”
“Discouraged?” the boy said puzzled. “Why should we be discouraged? We haven’t come to bat yet.”
The Fruit of the Spirit is a portrait of Jesus Christ. Christ can and will produce this Fruit in our lives Colossians 1:27 We can’t, but God can.
So then I receive “Faith”
1 – That is built upon God’s word – Romans 10:17
2 – As Fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23
3 – As a gift from God – Ephesians 2:8-9
4 – As an unfinished work – I Peter 3:18
5 – And I determine to walk by Faith and not by sight. – I Corinthians 5:7
He Can See Us
One night a house caught on fire, and a little boy was stranded on the second floor. All the boy could see was smoke and flames, However, he could hear his father’s voice. The boy said, “daddy, I can’t see you. The dad said, “But I can see you, and that’s all that matters, Jump!’ We cannot see God, but He can see us, and that is all that matters.
Trusting Faith in God.
He can see us, that’s all that matters!
